The course teaches students comprehensive and specialised subjects in computer science; it teaches students cutting-edge engineering skills to solve real-world problems using computational thinking and tools. Most of this program is the case (or) project-based where students learn by solving real-world problems end to end. This program has core courses that focus on computational thinking and problem solving from first principles.
The core courses are followed by specialization courses that teach various aspects of building real-world systems. This is followed by more advanced courses that focus on research-level topics, which cover state-of-the-art methods. The program also has a capstone project at the end, wherein students can either work on building end-to-end solutions to real-world problems (or) work on a research topic. The program also focuses on teaching the students the “ability to learn” so that they can be lifelong learners constantly upgrading their skills. Students can choose from a spectrum of courses to specialize in a specific sub-area of Computer Science like Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Cloud and Full Stack Development, etc.

I have a bachelors degree in Computer Science from NIT Goa, and a PhD degree from IISc. As part of my PhD, I developed methods to learn filters, filterbanks and wavelet functions using machine learning approaches as opposed to the traditional way of designing them using math tools. I also worked on hybrid scattering networks for image classification, and deep unfolded networks for image processing. I love to work on problems at the intersection of deep learning and signal processing. I am an adept programmer, with experience working as a web and android developer. I am also comfortable with tensorflow and pytorch for deep learning. At Scaler, I have been working on improving my soft skills such as effective communication, teaching, and encouraging and inspiring people. My hobbies include playing the guitar, the violin, and strategy games.
Research:
My primary research interest is in applications of Machine Learning tools for Signal Processing. Other areas of interest include Pattern Recognition, Statistical Learning, Biomedical Signal Processing, Statistical Signal Processing, Compressed Sensing and Optimization.

I'm the founder of Woolf, which is building online infrastructure for the future of higher education. Previously, at Oxford, I was a member of the Faculty of Philosophy, a member of Wolfson College, and a member of the governing Congregation of the University. I also held a Humboldt Fellowship, during which I worked on the definition and measure of human progress. I was especially interested in how modern universities were created to support progress.
