Discrete Math

I am a PhD student, doing research in NLP at Stony Brook University with the goal of becoming a full-time professor in higher education.



Virtually teaching students discrete mathematics. Using engaging methods such as Mentimeter and Zoom polls to create an interactive classroom. Iterating on class, adding improvements and suggestions for future terms.



Designing a curriculum for a discrete mathematics course at a degree-granting institution. Decided subtopics to be covered in the course, created assignments, exams, and projects, and added content to a course webpage.

Experienced Manager with a history of working in higher education and technology sector. Skilled in Software Engineering, Agile & Scrum. Professional with a Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of Utah. Former U.S. Peace Corps volunteer with unique combination of university faculty and industry experience.

Dr Akomeno Omu is the Chief Academic Officer and Dean of Kibo School. She is passionate about curriculum design, leadership development, and educational system building for the African context, and has a wealth of experience as a researcher and educator at higher education institutions across Europe and Africa.
